A resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado (arguably one of the most inspiring photography locations ever), Karen Solano (who goes by "Lizzie") has been taking pictures since her senior year of high school. Starting with a sub-par camera and just a few pictures for an intro class, Lizzie found that she loved to take pictures of objects and animals. While just a hobby at first, Lizzie's natural eye for photography soon had people asking her to take photos for them.
In the following years, Lizzie went on to publish her photos in the "10th Anniversary Almagre," a creativity journal by Pikes Peak Community College, and attends the college for further photography instruction.
Lizzie also took promotional photos for Hourglasswear, a women's clothing company out of Colorado Springs. While the company no longer exists, you can see some of the photos Lizzie took in the "Fashion" section of the site.

Now 22, Lizzie's high-school "hobby" has become a profession. While her current focus is taking pictures for weddings, seniors, and fun (duh), she hopes to soon have her incredible photos published in a nature magazine.
